A recent inquiry brought back a renewed interest in this project. We will be building our version of a high impedance amplifying Teflon tube.
I have always wanted to build one, but never had the time or funds to do so. Several years ago I layered the (2) plastic disks on a Wimhurst generator with thin Teflon sheet. I then glued copper screening to the disks. This produced a tremendous increase of spark length into the caps when turning the disks. You must have dry ambient conditions to get the best effects from the Teflon. There is a direct correlation between the tube and a modified Wimhurst generator. We will convert the amplified electron voltage from the tube with coils and capacitors into a usable energy form. I will show pics and diagrams as it is built and tested. Look below to see a schematic.
