This is a unfinished engine build using ideas from the Wankel and Whipmag designs. The stator magnet group can be called a progressive attraction round track with one gate.
One rotor disk magnet will seek the strongest point of attraction at the gate. The other rotor magnet at 180 degrees will assist. Very little effort is needed to get a rotor magnet through the gate when (2) more magnets are added to the disk at 90 degrees to the other (2). This increases assist even further. The bolt sticking down at the top of the engine is where a flipper magnet bearing assembly will be mounted when construction is completed. This is intended to help pull a disk magnet through the gate area and release it back into the stator group. You can see the uncompleted design
